Remaining children’s play areas and sports pitches to close for two weeks

The decision has been made to close all children’s play areas and games areas following a meeting of the Municipal Operative Coordination Centre (CECOPAL).

After the December closure of the resorts children’s play facilities in response to the ongoing Covid-19 crisis, a few remained open after individual garden presidents agreed to pay for the required cleaning. While this was a welcome relief for the parents of children who live on site, further restrictions have unfortunately resulted in a review of the situation.

Following a communication from the Local Police of Alhama de Murcia the play areas that remained open will now be closed from Saturday 16th January to Tuesday 2nd February. Additionally, the tennis, padel and Pétanque pitches will now also be closed.
