It’s been a month since the new Region de Murcia airport opened at Corvera and the minister for Development and Infrastructures, Patricio Valverde, has confirmed a coach service will connect the terminal to Mazarron, Aquilas and Lorca.
The service will start when the first summer flight schedule begins and timetables will be coordinated with take-off and landing times. The cost of a journey between Corvera and Mazarron is expected to be around 15 euros, Mr Valverde has said.
It is still hoped that Camposol and Condado de Alhama may be included in the new coach service but as yet the minister was unable to confirm either of these will be included.
The new bus route adds to services already operating between Corvera and the main cities of Murcia and Cartagena plus the smaller towns of San Pedro de Pinatar, Lo Pagan, San Javier, La Ribera, Los Alcazares. Six golf resorts close to the Mar Manor are also on a bus service with the addition of La Manga del Mar Manor being added before Easter.
