Hot Tubs & Spas are Prohibited on Condado de ALhama

Following site-wide communications last year, the Board of Presidents again would like to remind residents that both temporary and permanently installed hot tubs/spas are not permitted on Condado de Alhama. The only exception would be where they are located on the ground floor.

The properties are not designed to take this load and it will also invalidate the site-wide insurance.

The Board of Presidents will take action against owners if existing hot tubs are not removed.

Should you need further information, you can contact the administrator’s at alhama@admiburgos.com.

This announcement will undoubtedly come as a shock and disappointment to many who have already gone to the expense and trouble of installing a hot tub on their roof terrace.

It is not clear what action will be taken against owners who refuse to remove this equipment where it is not permitted or how soon action will be taken but the warning has been issued for owner to comply.

How Much Does A Hot Tub Weigh?

A small sized hot tub that fits two or three people weighs approximately 500 lbs when it is empty. When full of water it can weigh up to 3,000 lbs. Larger hot tubs that accommodate  up to six people weigh approximately 1,000 lbs when empty and 6,000 lbs when full of water.

To put that into perspective having a large hot tub full of water is like having two teams of 15 stone rugby players sat on your roof!
