
Murcia is a University City and capital of the region baring the same name. It has the Rio Segura running through the city and it has a relatively modern Town Hall from the 1990’s.
It’s show piece is the Plaza Cardinal Belluga, here you will find the ornate Cathedral.
And also the location of Episcopal Palace of Murcia.
Then there’s the Teatro Romea, in Plaza Julian Romea with over 150 years of history.
Then when you have finished your culture fix, why not visit the indoor market, Plaza de Flores (below) and discover the endless amounts of shops and restaurants on offer. A visit to Murcia City is a great day out.
