On Saturday 29th September everyone is invited to a charity garden party in order to raise money for two worthwhile charities; Macmillan and Forget Me Not.
The party starts at 11am and is being held at Naranjos 2.
The garden party is being setup and run by resident Caroline Jones who is well known on the resort for her ongoing work for the Condado Cats & Kittens T.N.R.
Cakes are being donated by supporters, if you have the time to bake some delicious treats then contributions are welcome! A raffle is also being held and so far donated prizes include meal vouchers, hairdressing and beauty treatments and wines and spirits.
And a local Ukelele band will be there to entertain the crowds!
We asked Caroline for more information about the garden party and this is what she told us;
This event taking place is to support the UK charity event known as “The biggest Coffee Morning in the World ” to support the Macmillan nurses and I am also incorporating a local non profit making charity in Camposol called Forget me Not which looks after people with Alzheimers for 3 hours whilst their carers have a little free time.
I have received sponsorship from all of the businesses in Condado including the Golf Club and Condado Club.
I am holding the venue inside and outside my apartment at Naranjos 2 No 93 and there will be bunting and balloons to show the way.
I have a Ukulele band giving their time and I am supplying the electricity. They will begin at 11am and finish around 1 which at that time the draw will be made for the sponsored prizes which consist of meals, hairdressing and beauty and many bottles of spirits.
There is an entrance fee of €3 which entitles them to tea, coffee and cake. These cakes are being made by many people but it is an unknown amount of the requirements!
There will be a tombola table. A preserves table which have been made by myself and ladies from the local Mabbs charity selling homemade cards.
Everyone is invited to attend the garden party and to support these worthwhile causes.
