Calasparra and its Surrounding Area

Calasparra has so much to offer if you explore its surrounding areas. It’s a town famous for its rice production but has some very colorful buildings in the town, this is the Church nestled on the hill.

Then an absolute not to be missed attraction is the Santuario de Esperanza.

There is a cracking chapel, or church, which is carved into the mountains. Its interior roof is a rock cave ceiling and is absolutely stunning!

Between the Santuario and the town runs the river Segura, which offers lovely riverside walks.

Then if all of that is not enough to fill your day check out the equally stunning area entitled Embalse Alfonso VIII, an amazing expanse of blue lagoon lake.

Visit these areas around Calasparra for a day out to remember. Check out my YouTube video of the area.
