A Look at Santuario de la Fuensanta

Located just outside Murcia City, this area is well worth a visit to see the Baroque style Monastery dating back to the late 1600’s where you can buy Chocolate from the Monks. The gift shop onsite also offers amazing candy covered almond nuts made by the nuns.

Santuario de la Fuensanta (which means Sanctuary of the Virgen de la Fuensanta) sits high on a hill overlooking the city of Murcia. It’s an excellent vantage point offering stunning panoramic views over the city.

It offers fantastic views of the valley and across the city of Murcia.

The Eremitorio de la Luz.

The area also offers some varied walks with stunning views over the valley and Murcia City.

The walks are all listed under the PR-MU series in beautiful countryside.

To take a short 4 minute stroll around Santuario de la Fuensanta take a moment to watch my YouTube video below.
